Are my files uploaded?
No. Every tool available today runs inside your web browser. Your files are opened, changed and saved on your own phone or computer, and they disappear from Vellafolio when you close the page. We never receive them.
Is Vellafolio free?
Yes. Every tool listed on the site is free for five tasks a day, with files up to 20 MB and no watermarks. Paid plans with higher limits, private cloud storage and extra features are coming soon. No payment is taken today.
What counts as a task?
One completed action, such as merging files, converting a document or saving a scan. If a tool can't produce a file, it doesn't count.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use every free tool without signing up. Accounts with private document storage are coming soon.
Which devices and browsers work?
iPhone and iPad (Safari), Android (Chrome), Windows and Mac (Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox). Please keep your browser up to date.
Can I install Vellafolio like an app?
Yes. iPhone: open Vellafolio in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Android: tap the menu in Chrome, then Install app. On a computer, use the install icon in the address bar.
Does it work offline?
After your first visit, the tools you have opened work without an internet connection, because everything runs on your device.
Why does my Word to PDF look different?
On-device conversion keeps your document private but supports simpler layouts: headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures. Headers, footers, columns and exact fonts are not kept yet. Always check the result before sending.
Why is my scan cropped wrongly?
Automatic cropping works best with the page on a darker, plain surface in good light. You can drag the round corner handles, or tap Full photo.
Can I change the existing text in a PDF?
Editing existing text will be part of the Business plan, coming soon. Today you can add new text, signatures, images, highlights and drawings for free.
Is white-out safe for hiding private information?
No. White-out covers content visually, but the original is still inside the file. Do not use it to remove private information.
Are signatures legally valid?
Vellafolio adds a visual signature, which is accepted for many everyday documents. It is not a certified digital signature, and some documents (such as certain deeds or statutory declarations) have special rules. Check if unsure.
My PDF won't open.
It may be password-protected or damaged. Remove the password in your PDF app and try again. If it still fails, email support@vellafolio.com and tell us which tool you used — please don't attach private documents.
